Children’s Ministry
Our children’s ministry offers weekly or monthly classes on Sundays for children ages 3-high school completion. Classes typically include a Bible story lesson, crafts, games and a snack. Some classes are taught in both Czech and English.
Summer Schedule
With so many kids and teachers gone over the summer, DoSlova children’s ministry will be simplified.
The younger kids (preschool and elementary) will be in a combined class from Sunday 22 June to 24 August. They will be learning all about the Fruit of the Spirit using some video materials. 6 July and 3 August will still be Family Sundays (no children’s classes) with worksheets available for the younger children during the sermon.
Sunday Worship for Kids
Baby/toddler: Our nursery room has lots of toys, a diaper changing area and a rocking chair available for nursing mothers. There is also a speaker so parents can still listen to the worship service.
Age 3-Kindergarten: Songs, activities, Bible story, games, crafts, and snacks.
First grade/year 2-Fifth grade/year 6: Bible reading, activities, games, occasional crafts, and snacks.
(Right now the elementary classes are about 80% English and 20% Czech. Our goal is to make them 50/50 Czech-English to reflect our worship service).
Sixth grade (year 7)– High School completion: Monthly visit to the Starbucks near DoSlova to discuss the most recent sermon or similar topic of interest. Typically, this occurs on the 4th Sunday of the month, but varies depending on school breaks.
*On the first Sunday of the month, we have Family Day. On this Sunday our kids stay with us for the entire service. During the sermon we have activity sheets and a small snack available for children of all ages.
